Boutros Harb Announces Political Program For Presidential Race

Despite no clear plan on how to handle the upcoming presidential election, candidates began to take to the spot light. Today it was MP Butros Harb who announced his candidacy and political program. From Parliament, Harb stressed that his candidacy is linked indirectly to one condition, being a candidate of consensus among all the Lebanese. Harb said that due to the fact that tension over the elections is escalating the situation in the country the president should be elected through consensus. Harb added, that the upcoming election needs to reflect the choice of the Lebanese alone. He stressed it must not be a bargain or a deal over a bigger project in the region. |
