Pederson Class For Elections To Work As Stipulated By Constitution

The UN Secretary General's Special representative in Lebanon Geir Pederson reiterated the need for Lebanon's presidential elections to take place as stipulated by the constitution. The UN diplomat met yesterday with various officials. Talks with Lebanese Forces leader Samir Geagea focused on the occupied Shebaa Farms and the transfer of its sovereignty to the United Nations. Pederson later met with the vice-president of the Higher Shiite Council Abdel Amir Kabalan who handed a letter addressed to UN Chief Ban Ki Moon on the disappearance of Imam Moussa Sadr and his two companions |
