Berri To Announce Initiative In Baalbeck

House Speaker Nabih Berri is expected to announce today a new initiative that would guarantee consensus on the issue of the Presidential elections. Berri is speaking in a few hours in Baalbeck during the comemoration of the 29th anniversary of the disappearance of Imam Mussa Al-Sadr.Yesterday, American ambassador to Lebanon Jeffery Feltman met with Berri in Ain El Tineh. Feltman, who had just returned from Washington, stressed on the importance that the Presidential elections take place on time. Feltman is meeting today with Head of the Lebanese Forces Samir Geagea as well as Former President Amine Gemayyel. |
