Franjieh Accuses Siniora And Hamadeh Of Plotting To Kill Nassrallah
8/31/2007

Former minister Suleiman Franjieh accused Prime Minister Fouad Siniora and Telecommunications Minister Marwan Hamadeh of plotting to kill Hezbollah secretray General Sayyed Hassan Nasrallah. In an interview on Local TV Channel LBC last night, Franjieh said the issue of private Hizbullah phone networks was not a recent discovery, claiming that the reason it was brought up again is aimed at isolating Nasrallah or assassinating him. In response, Hamadeh issued a statement saying Franjieh's statements are nothing but sectarian and confessional hallucinations that bring back to mind the campaigns Franjieh used to launch against slain Premier Rafik Hariri. Hamadeh later told the Lebanese daily AnNahar that a copy of Franjieh's interview will be sent to the UN investigative comission as one evidence that will hold Franjieh responsible of assisting in assasinations and murders commited by the Syrian regime in Lebanon.
